Here's a long devlog about its design: https://versificator.itch.io/gruescript/devlog/284374/gruescript-is-now-in-open-beta-release
I've released "Gruescript" to open beta: https://versificator.itch.io/gruescript
It's an online tool/scripting language for creating point-n-click text adventures. It's designed to create games that feel as close as possible to classic puzzly parser games, but replacing the type-in prompt with a contextual button-driven interface, making the games friendly to modern devices and players.
Just realised, what I'm looking for is someone who can tell me that "Do I know any..." is a terrible way to find people to work with
In my further adventures in crass commercialism*, you can now get a $5 download of DETECTIVELAND that includes a high-res map of New Losago and a pulp newsstand pamphlet containing two short stories. You can also play the game online for free.) Share and Enjoy!
CRASSLY COMMERCIAL POST: I added a $5 download to Hamlet - The Text Adventure, which comes with a page of designer's notes and an elegant colour map of the game. Or you can play online for free: http://versificator.itch.io/hamlet
I made a game! http://versificator.itch.io/the-party-line
It's an old-school minimalist text adventure (with a new-school keyboardless interface) set at a mysterious house party. Collect the treasures! Skip the queue for the bathroom! Get past the teenager crying on the stairs!
This is my entry in the AdventureX jam (which happened instead of the AdventureX conference this year), made in two weeks. Share and Enjoy!
Screenshot from my new WIP, "You All Meet in a Tavern" (not sure if I'll use this title - it seems to have been used for an RPG supplement and I'm not sure how obscure it is or how steppy-toesy it would be.) The idea is it'll be like a football manager game but for a D&D-esque adventuring party - you recruit adventurers from the bar, send them off on quests, which can earn you money and experience but might get them killed, and try to train them up for the big leagues
Hello! I have very little idea what this is but apparently it is considerably less evil than other social media so I made an account.
I am a maker of silly games, mainly text adventures and 2d puzzlers, which you can play at versificator.itch.io. My day job is for a company that makes AI for commercial games so I occasionally get to work on bigger budget games (i.e. games that have a budget) too. I live in Edinburgh and like bikes, cats, and tea.
Text adventure and puzzle game maker.

Hi! Game Making Social is a part of the Fediverse dedicated to being a well-moderated, cosy, friendly place to talk and share stuff about amateur videogame making, and everything surrounding that.
It's kinda an offshoot of Game Making Tools, which is a wiki(+) for a similar audience.
Game makers, game writers, game curators, etc. etc. most welcome!
Please read the rules before signing-up :)
PS: We have Animal Crossing, LSD, and Klik & Play emoji :3
