I had Bunnings (hardware shop) vouchers, so bough three more shelving units :) So gunna do the bottom right layout tomorrow and be all tidy. So much clutter in here and I'm letting it distract me.

Roughly: white desk is for computering and playing PS2/Wii games. Bottom desk is music area, and top desk is drawing area.

Might be too cramped, but I like that the computer/games is/are annoying to get to :3

Spotted another Mario Paint-like music making tool. This one uses a pianoroll view instead of a stave.

Windows only, but supposed to work in Wine.

Keeping track of them on the wiki:

Didn't realise the people who do those Indiepocalypse compilations also have a little list of links you can submit to:

It's a reference to the ol' Anime Web Turnpike, so it must be good~

Site also has links to an RPG Maker 2 (the PS2 one) exquisite corpse game done via post, which I hope is still open :acnl_distress:

It's a new year, so here's a fresh reminder to get off

Here are some examples of the garbage instances they federate with:

:fedi: many spam editors joined and were banned
:fedi: lots of good feedback was given. Thanks!

What hasn't happened yet:
🔜 Support for pages in Languages other that English (technically difficult)

Wow you need a Soundcloud account to skip through tracks now...

Hello again. Only two years later. Right now I guess I'm stuck on choosing a game making platform. I mean I'm not ready for Unity. I think the most advanced I could go is GameMaker studio. Actually I wrote a series of blogposts exploring a number of different solutions (a one per day thing with gamemaker, godot, a few others). I'm leaning towards gamemaker. Unless someone is willing to dissuade me. Guess I'm looking for a upgrade-to-language solution like gamemaker. Any suggestions?

I created a tutorial From Processing to Love for anyone with previous experience with Processing or p5.js that wants a gentle introduction to Love2d. I created it basically to get myself up to snuff with Love fast.

I actually have way more experience with Pico-8 so will probably make a Pico-8 version of this as well.

Holy shit.

Glider PRO has been ported in it's entirety to web on via the original game's source code.

to add to this, it's also available as a native android app on Google Play

the web version is also complete with the house editor, where you also import and export custom made houses.

Are there any TUI-building libraries similar to the Bubbletea library in Go but are not in Go or Elm? :)

I'd love something in Lua, Javacript, Bash, Forth, etc :)

I've used the NPM blessed package quite a bit but it's more like a Curses library than this menu-building libary with great color capabilities

I know most people have kinda given up on the Mastodon issue tracker, but this issue about making pronouns more visible could use more opinions imo:

Bulk Slash English patch has Twin-stick support!!!

I have a Saturn Twin-stick!!!

Even if you don't take part in the Glorious Trainwrecks Christmas event, peoples' requests are worth reading as interesting game idea prompts.

Edit: Put links to them in the Ideas section:

Hi! Game Making Social is a part of the Fediverse dedicated to being a well-moderated, cosy, friendly place to talk and share stuff about amateur videogame making, and everything surrounding that.

It's kinda an offshoot of Game Making Tools, which is a wiki(+) for a similar audience.

Game makers, game writers, game curators, etc. etc. most welcome!

Please read the rules before signing-up :)

PS: We have Animal Crossing, LSD, and Klik & Play emoji :3
