I just added Kryštof Klestil's Blind Faith (which is being made entirely with F/OSS tools) onto my list of games developed on #Linux! If you know of anything that's not here but should be, let me know!

Make stuff with Katelabs:

It has lots of 3-D models and things included, looks like lots of fun.

So, after one year of read-write time about computers I thought of having a Mastodon première of The User Condition, a looong text on computer agency and behavior. Here's the link, enjoy:

Of course I'm profoundly grateful for the help that I received from all of you people here (check acknowledgements at the bottom).

Needless to say, I welcome feedback, criticism, bug/misspells reports and whatever else comes to mind :)

i wrote a post
“Relax, babe. It’s just business.” – Game Journalism
on Stephen Totilo’s leaving Kotaku, and how Those In Charge managed to avoid responsibility for it because they're privileged enough to...

please read it and share.
this matters and you should stop ignoring this.

Anyone know a good place to start reading about how to community management?

There are over a thousand books or other items on the Internet Archive dedicated to LOGO!

some fun browser-based art-tools coming out lately:

1. for animated interactive drawings (by Grgrdvrt)

Also there's a 3-D plugin thing you can get (expensive), but there's this much cheaper, open-source setup for doing 3-D that has a really compelling trailer:

Seems pretty straight-forward (for something so hacky):

Once done with this game I'm keen to finally give Gdevelop a spin.

Would use it for the current thing buy I'm relying on the built-in passwords feature for secrets.

GD has the same kinda scripting as Clickteam stuff, but seems more inspired by Construct's take on it. So it's missing some of the neat maths features, but you get ... comments.

That kinda menu-based scripting (I like the old RPG Makers too) is very much where I feel most comfortable.

Been wrestling a bit with Clickteam Fusion recently,

Having a bunch of problems with using the Steam one now with Proton (used to be fine), but normal Wine + the free version are workign perfect.

Anyway, been updating the Clickteam Fusion Page with my cursed knowledged:

For fellow art folks, tablet recommendations, boosts appareciated

I'm thinking about retiring my wacom CTL 480 (cable is frayed and I can't be bothered to get another cable) and i kinda want to move away from getting wacom products for a LOAD of reasons

I'm looking for something that's similar but HOPEFULLY with the dang express keys on the side

I'm currently looking into huion and I'm wondering for anyone who happens to use it, how well do the pen tablets work with clip studio paint and is the dang software any good?

CSP is the main thing I use and I want to make sure i'm able to use it there or anywhere outside for that matter

Thanks in advance and stuff =u=

And another one:

This place has a bot that posts paedo drawings.

Block rec.,

First thing you see on the about page is a mod with a homophobic channer name. Local timeline is very chatty with shitbag instances.

Welcome to a bunch of new people!

Here are some little tips to help you get started with Mastodon and the Fediverse:

- Make a post to introduce yourself + include some tags for things your interested in. Also include the tags and .
- To find people try clicking on those tags in your post.
- Have patience, things can be slow here at first, but you'll find cool people in time.

Shoot me any other questions!

Oh shit this looks cool - a chiptune tracker / musical livecoding environment written in Scheme, using MAME for soundchip emulation

Hi! Game Making Social is a part of the Fediverse dedicated to being a well-moderated, cosy, friendly place to talk and share stuff about amateur videogame making, and everything surrounding that.

It's kinda an offshoot of Game Making Tools, which is a wiki(+) for a similar audience.

Game makers, game writers, game curators, etc. etc. most welcome!

I also try to maintain a list of not-jerk game-making communities on the wiki, which you might find interesting.

Please read the rules before signing-up :)

PS: We have Animal Crossing, LSD, and Klik & Play emoji :3
