Flashpoint is a web game preservation project that, other than Flash, can also play Shockwave, HTML5, Unity Web Player, Java Applets, Silverlight, 3DVIA Player, 3D Groove GX and PopCap Plugin games.

Apparently it has over 10,000 games backed up so far. New games are still being added.

my advice for creating stuff is just to make a shittier version of the thing you want to create. Then years later you will look back on it and realise you actually made the good version, you just didn't realise it at the time
