Trying to move my tiny-game dev environment completely to a mobility-based solution. So far, I ordered the Lenovo Tab 4 10" (with extra case) and bluetooth keyboard, plus stylus. #TIC-80 has an android build but #Pico-8 does NOT. Anyone know how to set up dual-booting to something like Mint (besides, I actually hate mobile OSes).

Basically, I want to shove it all with a power brick into a bag and dev anywhere no fuss.

I feel like I haven't added anythinf major to the wiki in ages. If anyone's just a particular tool or aspect of game making or something they'd like me to do some good research on now'd be a good time to let me know!

Otherwise maybe I'll work on the tutorials section and go through my links backlog and pick out whatever.

Also maybe just do some gardening :acnl_distress:

I guess this isn't surprising, but .moe instances are so often rubbish I'm tempted to just block every single one I see.

Is there some way to get vim into Android Studio? I feel like I’m banging rocks together in an attempt to manipulate text.

unity physics people: how does one orient a wheel collider to match a mesh? they seem magically immune to the rotation tools and there are no settings for axis.

Now I want to start a project of taking clips from old games that have somewhat similar aesthetics, stitching them together into vague inspiration reels that imply a completely new game that doesn't exist, and filter it a bit so it's a little hard to make out.

Gdevelop is cool, it;s like Construct 2 but supports Javascript codeblocks way better

Fun fact: you can express any 2D rotation as a composition of three shear operations

Using this knowledge, you CAN rotate text in MS Paint

Nobody knows why these specific GeoCities web pages - 237 total - all vanished on the same day in 1999. But when they suddenly reappeared exactly 20 years later, they were... clearly not under the control of their original creators. As the world's foremost Paranormal Webmistress, it's your job to find out who - or what - is behind this.

if anyone tries to make terminal art in a browser with box/block drawing characters (█▓▒░), let me save you a lot of trouble:

the google web fonts (.woff) versions of monospaced fonts (source code pro, fira mono, etc.) don't include these characters even though the real (.ttf) versions of these fonts do

so if you want stuff to line up right, you need to serve the real .ttf version yourself instead of relying on google's CDN

So cool I had to get it when I saw it in store: "The White Box"

THE DEVELOPER SPENT ALL TODAY IMPLEMENTING A SHADER FOR A VISUAL EFFECT AND WHEN IT WAS DONE IT TURNED OUT TO LOOK EXTREMELY BORING SO IN A FIT OF PIQUE SHE ADDED ONE ROUND() CALL AND ALL OF A SUDDEN IT LOOKED AWESOME
